JV Spawner - How to create free trial software or ebooks.

JV Spawner Finding Joint Venture partners isn’t an easy task. Finding Joint Venture partners with huge mailing lists is an even harder task.

Here is a very simplistic breakdown of the steps involved

1) Build a relationship with your potential partners
2) Tell them what’s in it for them
3) Provide all the tools (promotional emails, graphics etc) that they can easily copy and paste onto their own website/blog or autoresponder.

(I did say it was simplistic!)

But working with Joint Venture partners can make or break a product launch; it can also bring in far more income than you could by doing it alone.

In this post I’m going to skip over steps 1 and 2 because there are plenty of other online resources available for those subjects, and you could easily write a book on it too.

So the point of this review is to show you that one of the easiest ways to get JV partners is to allow them to see your software/ebook and that one of the eastiest ways to sell a product is to let people see it and try it before they buy.

So what is JV Spawner?

JV Spawner is a software program that creates a secure wrapper around your software or ebook, that allows people to try the product for a period of time. That time can be set to be a number of days or you can set it to be run for a specufied number of times.

During the trial period, every time the software is run, the user will get a message asking whether they want to continue with the trial or buy the full version. And at the end of the trial period the user is informed that the trial period has ended and given the option to be taken to the sales page to buy the full version.

JV Spawner could not be easier to use. It has a simple, one page, dialog box with just six text fields for you to fill in. (see the graphic below).

JV Spawner dialog

Once you have created your trial version all you need to do is distribute it all over the Internet, and there are plenty of places to list your Free download, just do a Google search for “free download” and you’ll see.

If you run an affiliate program or have JV partners you can also use the rebranding software that comes with JV Spawner to give them a copy of your trial software or ebook, so that they can add their own affiliate link to it, giving them a greater incentive to promote your software.

What can JV Spawner not do?

JV Spawner is designed to provide trial versions of pre-compiled software, that is software that is in a .exe format. JV Spawner will isn’t very good at protecting PHP or other kinds of scripts, because these kind of products need to let the user see the code for them to use it.

Also, if you have an ebook that you want to promote using JV Spawner it is best to protect your ebook using the features of a .pdf creator, such as making it non-printable and non-editable, rather than relying on JV Spawner to protect it for you. But, you could provide sample chapters, and after the trial period have JV Spawner point the potential buyer to the full version.

All in all, this software could not be easier to use and could help you make a ton of cash with little effort on your part.

So get your product out there!

Marketing Main Event 3 - An alternative!

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

There is a lot of buzz going on at the moment about Marketing Main Event 3, and as someone who bought Marketing Main Event 1 almost 2 years ago, I would just like to make few suggestions that will hopefully help you make a decision on whether to buy or not.

——————————————————————————————
A sidenote first though.

Firstly, I haven’t seen inside Marketing Main Event 3, I have only read the sales page. Having bought Marketing Main Event 1 (about 2 years ago now) I know that Simon and Jeremy turn out quality products, so what I am about to say is in no way a slur on them or their products.

——————————————————————————————

The main product of Marketing Main Event 3 is CMS Infusion, a Content Management System with a whole host of features and plug-ins that make it extremely easy to create and maintain a website or number of websites without knowing or having to write a sinlge line of code.

This product does look great and they are also offering a whole host of modules for you to manage pretty much every aspect of and online business website without the need to know any technical stuff at all.

Also with MME3 you would get a ton of digital products, passes to paid membership sites and these are not to be sniffed at either.

But not only will the package cost you $997 up front, it will also cost an extra $47 for each license should you want to create more than 10 websites using this CMS and after the end of year one $97 per year to have their continued support.

Ok, so whats the alternative. Well as far as the CMS is concerned, take a look at Joomla. Joomla is a full-featured open source CMS. Open source means that it is FREE. Not only that, but it is one of the best supported CMS’s around, with a huge amount of free plug-ins that you could easily add (without any technical knowledge) and a support forum that is full of experienced users who are happy to help others out with problems, and again it’s free.

Also, you can use Joomla on as many sites as you like and for as long as you like without having to pay for support or licenses after a year. And, Joomla is constantly being updated and each update is released free too.

Now if Marketing Main Event 3 were based on CMS Infusion alone, I would recommend that you do not go that route, go the Joomla with plug-ins route. However, you may be basing a buying decision on all of the other products as well.

As I said, I bought Marketing Main Event 1, and was thoroughly impressed by the products within it, I even made a small profit from the Resale Rights to some products. I have also been thoroughly impressed with both Simon and Jeremy and their abilities to create quality products.

But I would also add that you should only buy if you KNOW that

a) you will learn from the products yourself
b) that you will profit from the Resale Rights that come with them

Treat a buying decision like this as an investment, consider your options, and only buy when you are pretty damn sure that you can recoup that investment.

I hope this helps you make the right descion for you.

All the best
